History Las Vegas, Nevada was first visited by Raphael Rivera in the year 1829.
It received its name from Spaniards while they were utilizing water
during their travel to north and west parts from Texas. This placed was
established as a railroad town in the year 1905. The most important
owners and directors of the railroad was Thomas Kernes, R.C. of Kernes.
Till the year 1908, Stewarts Point remained a part of the Lincoln
County. It emerged as a city only in the year 1911 and Peter Buol
served as its first mayor. The Hoover Dam built here during the year
