History
Pahrump was originally an
area occupied by the Shoshone Indians but did not get settled by
Americans until the 18th century. Some of the Pahrump real estate

stands for and translates to water rock. The Shoshone Indians gave Pahrump it's name many years ago and the name still stands today.
